LGU Albur provides cash aid to families with totally damaged homes

The local government unit (LGU) of Albur reportedly is going to provide P6,000 cash aid to each family in the town whose homes were totally damaged by the onslaught of typhoon Odette.
According to reports, Mayor Don Ritchie Buates said that the LGU has narrowed down the number of homes totally damaged by the typhoon. He indicated that there are 214 homes in Albur damaged by the typhoon.
The mayor also said the cash aid will strictly be used by the beneficiary for the repair of the damaged home like the purchase of galvanized iron (GI) sheets for the roof of the house.
The resources for the cash aid have been sourced from the LGU’s disaster risk reduction and management funds.
Reports add that there are plans to provide cash assistance to households with partially damaged houses.
So far, the LGU has already identified at least 1,000 homes that were partially damaged by the typhoon.
