Root canal is the procedure being used in order to protect a tooth or teeth from pain and infections that might happen in the future.
This procedure is performed in the tooth’s pulp, which is called the root canal, hence the name of the procedure.
Root canal procedure is done when the inside material of the tooth becomes infected due to bacteria.
The root canal procedure cost depends on the dentist. It is a less costly procedure compared to having your tooth removed then replaced with an implant or a bridge.
The dentist, when performing this procedure, removes the endodontic part of the tooth. The procedure is commonly called as root canal because ordinary people can relate to the term root canal than the term endodontic.
The root canal is that part of the tooth which is a hollow section The root canal contains blood vessels, nerve tissue, and other cells known collectively as the tooth pulp.
