The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) under the Yap-Relampagos Administration has intensified its relief operation efforts to aid typhoon-stricken Boholanos.
The governor said that as of Jan. 6, 2022, close to 130,000 food packs had already been delivered to all local government units (LGU) in Bohol.
The funds for the relief food packs were sourced from the PGBh’s coffers, reports from the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) said.
Moreover, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through its local office, which is the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD)-Bohol was able to distribute 88,000 food packs to different LGUs.
Yap assured the Boholanos that the Barug Bohol Provincial Operation Center (BBPOC) is working 24/7 in order to speed up relief operations for the different LGUs in the aftermath of typhoon Odette.
Earlier this week, the governor was also seen visiting different municipalities in the province distributing generator sets to water refilling stations. The move is made to ensure that safe and potable water is available to those who need it.
After the Typhoon, Yap strongly appealed to the public to donate generator sets to the PGBh so that water refilling stations can continue with their operations while restoration of power is underway.
The appeal from the governor did not fall on deaf ears as Yap received 40 generator sets donated by the Energy Development Corporation (EDC).
