Vice Governor Rene Relampagos has lauded the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) under the leadership of Gov. Arthur Yap for being one of the recipients in the entire Region 7 of the 2021 Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) award.
The award is a testament that the present administration has complied with the requirements of full disclosure, financial transparency and service delivery, the vice governor said.
According to Relampagos, the provincial government award of GFH is a reflection that the PGBh’s performance in the previous year passed the level of full disclosure of policy, budget, revenue and procurement.
Relampagos pointed out that the award is the best response to critics who have been questioning the financial transparency of the PGBh.
The Department of the Interior and Local Governance (DILG) confers the GFH to the PGBh as proof that the latter has spent and audited its public funds completely and with full transparency, the vice governor quipped.
Based on the issuance of the DILG, in the entire Region VII, only two provinces were given the said award and they are the provinces of Negros Oriental and Bohol.
