New goals, dreams and directions are envisioned to be realized this year for Bohol by the Provincial Government under the leadership of Gov. Arthur Yap and with the full support of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Bohol led by Vice Governor Rene Lopez Relampagos.
This year is challenging for Bohol considering the calamity caused by typhoon Odette and the ongoing Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic.
Relampagos welcomed 2022 with the hope that Bohol will soon recover from the devastation brought by the typhoon.
Relampagos bares that he is one with the Boholanos in these times of suffering, challenges and trials.
Likewise, he calls on every Boholano to strengthen his/her faith and solidarity with one another and to rise up again after the devastation, recognizing that Boholanos are known to be resilient in every adversity.
“Looking back at the past year, we found ourselves in a tug-of-war between calamity and recovery. The ongoing pandemic and the recent super typhoon might have brought more challenges for the province, but we were also able to showcase the qualities that make us conquer the odds and rise back up: profound love for our family and our province, a sense of community that allows us to be one with each other, and a sense of hope that inspires us to make our prayers come true,” Relampagos said.
“As we welcome a new year, may our love tanks be filled, our unity and solidarity strengthened and our hopes renewed. May the lessons of yesterday and the promises of tomorrow remind us that the Boholano spirit will always shine through,” Relampagos further conveyed.
Furthermore, he reassures the Boholano constituency that the SP under his leadership is doing its best to support the programs that will help Bohol fully recover from the losses and damages brought about by the Covid pandemic and typhoon.
