Col. Mary Crystal Peralta on Jan. 15, 2022, a report from the City Media Bureau says.
Peralta said the new vehicles and equipment will be used for various tasks aimed at ensuring Tagbilaran City’s peace and order situation.
Mayor Yap is grateful to the workers in the frontlines, one of whom is the group of police personnel.
“We want to ease the work of our frontliners as much as we can. These new vehicles will at least help the unit in its daily tasks. The City PNP [Philippine National Police] has been one of the major frontliners in our fight against Covid [Coronavirus disease]. From inspection in the major entry and exit points during lockdowns and the implementation of the curfew hours. Our police personnel are always ready to extend a helping hand”, Yap said.
Just recently, Peralta led the composite team which includes members from the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and City Fire Department in the rescue operations following the impact of typhoon Odette.
The TCPS also assisted in the clearing operations on the roads affected by the typhoon. The new vehicles are going to be used in the fulfillment of the mandate to the City PNP’s such as patrol and traffic operations, among others.
