Storming the Heavens for God’s Mercy amidst Odette
I remember this song, You Needed Me, that I first heard long time ago in Tacloban at the Castillan room of the Village Inn. The song runs this way:
I cried a tear you wiped it dry.
I was confused, you cleared my mind.
I sold my soul, you bought it back for me.
And held me up and gave me dignity,
somehow you needed me.
You held my hand when it was cold.
When I was lost you brought me home.
You put me high, upon a pedestal.
So high that I could almost see eternity,
you needed me you needed me.
And I can’t believe it’s you, I cant believe its true.
I needed you and you were there.
And I cant leave why should i leave I’d be a fool.
‘Coz I’ve finally found someone who really cares.
You gave me strength to stand alone again.
To face the world out on my own again.
You put me high upon a pedestal.
So high that I could almost see eternity.
You needed me, you needed me.
Though this song is for the movie, The Shadow Land.
I think there is no other person capable of giving this kind of love except God.
Only He was our refuge amidst the strongest storm I ever experienced in my whole life and my children and grandchildren’s life. We were happy that we were all together amidst the howling wind the torrential rains lashing the walls and rooftops.
Indeed, we saw the rooftop flying rolled by the wind, the falling trees and flying debris, and the heavy heaps of leaves as they strongly schallenged the silence of the streets.
At the end, we are thankful to be alive.
And we are still hoping for a better 2022.
And we are praying for covid to end.
