NGCP reports the completion of the restoration of 69 KV line 13 days ahead of schedule

Due to the pressing need to provide power to Boholano consumers the soonest possible time, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) completed the restoration of the 69 kilovolt (KV) line going to Carmen town 13 days ahead of schedule, according to a report from the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).

The report adds that with the completion of the restoration of the Ubay-Trinidad-Carmen line, it is now possible for power coming from Ubay town to reach Tagbilaran City.

Currently, electricity supply in Bohol comes from the Power Barge 104 stationed in Ubay and the Bohol Diesel Power Plant (BDPP).

The line was restored on Jan. 18, 2022, which is 13 days earlier than the schedule which was pegged on Jan. 31, 2022, the PIA bares.

The restoration of the line means more substations of Bohol Electric Cooperative 1 and 2 and even the Bohol Light Company Inc. are able to receive power from the temporary sources which are the power barge and the BDPP.

The NGCP said that at least a thousand linemen, engineers, and ordinary workers were on deck for the restoration of the said transmission line, which was damaged by the typhoon.

As this developed, reports reveal that the NGCP is currently busy restoring the two 138 kv lines which are the ones used to receive power from Leyte.
