Gov. Arthur Yap conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to 59-man Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) team
composed of engineers, linemen, drivers and other crew during the send-off ceremonies on Jan. 24, 2022.

The team stayed in Bohol for more than a month to help the 3 distribution utilities, Bohol Electric Cooperative 1 & 2 (BOHECO 1 and 2) and Bohol Light Company Inc. (BLCI) to repair and replace the poles, and reconnect the wires damaged by typhoon Odette.

The personnel from MERALCO offered their time and expertise for Boholanos even on Christmas and New Year being away from their families.
