The national Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) orders new entry protocol for international travelers.
The IATF said that effective Feb. 1, 2022, fully vaccinated passengers from foreign countries will no longer undergo quarantine upon arrival.
However, they are required to present a negative real time-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result taken 48 hours prior to departure from country of origin.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated travelers are required to undergo facility-based quarantine until the release of their negative RT-PCR test taken on the 5th day.
Moreover, effective Feb 10, 2022 fully vaccinated nationals of non-visa required countries shall be allowed to enter the Philippines, subject to several conditions.
The traveler should be a holder of a passport which is valid 6 months from the time of arrival or a return ticket to the travelers’ country of origin or a ticket to a next destination.
The traveler must possess acceptable proofs of vaccination such as World Health Organization certificate of vaccination and prophylaxis; proof from VaxCertPH; or national digital vaccination certificate from country of origin.
Children below 18 years old are exempted from showing proof of vaccination, according to the IATF.
