PGOLFI distributed 7,000 food packs to 10 localities

The Philippine Gift of Life Foundation Inc. (PGOLFI) headed by Fancy Baluyot, has distributed around 7,000 food packs to 10 localities in Bohol as part of its relief efforts after the province was impacted by typhoon Odette.

The PGOLFI-Bohol released its report in a latter dated Jan. 21, 2022 to Dr. Ramie Cadag, the chairman of Board of Trustees of PGOLFI, a copy of which was furnished to The Bohol Tribune.

Baluyot reported that as of Jan. 19, 2022, the local chapter of the charitable group has reached the towns of Loon,Calape Tubigon, Talibon, Getafe, Ubay, San Miguel, Danao, Trinidad and Tagbilaran City.

The distribution was staggard in compliance with the protocol under Alert Level 3.

Each pack consists of 5 kilos of rice, 10 pcs. of canned goods, and four packs of noodles.

The beneficiaries were also given some sakolin or trapal, water purifiers, powdered milk, blankets, towels, face towels, chocolates and candies for the children and some potable water, Baluyot said in her letter.

The scheduled distribution of relief goods to the towns of Loboc and Pres.Carlos P. Garcia were suspended per advise of PGOLFI-Bohol consultant Dr. Kazan Benigno Baliyot and director Dr. Mary Ann Ruiz due to the restrictions under the Alert Level 3.

However, distribution of relief goods to other typhoon-hit towns will follow, Baluyot stressed.
