Pope Francis donates P5M for typhoon victims

Pope Francis has donated around P5 million as his initial financial aid for the victims of typhoon Odette.

Radio Veritas reported that the Holy Father, through the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and in collaboration with the Apostolic Nunciature in the Philippines, allocated the financial assistance for the rehabilitation of damaged homes and churches in areas affected by “Odette”, according to a report from the Philippine News Agency (PNA).

The donation is an expression of Pope Francis’ solidarity with typhoon victims.

On Dec. 19, 2021 the Pope immediately extended prayers for the victims of the disaster caused by the typhoon.
