Tagb intensifies Covid vaccination drive

The City Government has made the administration of the Coronavirus disease (Covid) vaccines a regular part of its services to the people. This declaration comes as Tagbilaran City Government intensifies its vaccination drive and administers as many vaccines as possible.


A vaccination team was already established composed of the following vaccinators: Leo Echavez, Vanesa Kay Barol, Remon Jesper Gondong, Jean Sheilah Bandianon, Charmaine Kristin Kay Uy, and Countess Kathrina Tabel.

A regular vaccination schedule is also set every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday at the Booy Covered Court and Bool Elementary School premises.

Based on information released on Jan. 27, 2022, Tagbilaran City has 211 active cases with the following breakdown of cases: Bool 10, Booy 12, Cabawan 0, Cogon 31, Dampas 31, Dao 22, Manga 10, Mansasa 7, Poblacion 1 -14, Poblacion 2 – 16, Poblacion 3 – 10, San Isidro 10, Taloto 10, Tiptip 13 and Ubujan 10.
City Mayor John Geesnell Yap II announced on his Facebook page that Covid vaccinations for the 5-11 years old will soon be opened.

“We will make sure that our children will also be protected from the threat of the COVID-19 virus. Our City Health Team is all set to administer the vaccines as soon as we receive the go-signal from the Department of Health (DOH). We are still waiting for the DOH’s shipment of the Pfizer’s pediatric formulation specifically made for children aged 5 to 11,” Mayor Yap said.
