French-based international non-government organization (NGO), Humanity and Inclusion visited Bohol and paid a courtesy call to Gov. Arthur Yap on Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2022, according to a report by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) office.
The organization, represented by its operations manager Melanie Ruiz, visited Bohol to take a look at the havoc brought about by typhoon Odette in the province.
According to Ruiz, her organization will be providing help especially to areas worst hit by the typhoon.
The said NGO is looking at providing building materials to 13,000 households whose homes were damaged by the typhoon’s fury.
The building materials include sakolin or tarpaulins, galvanized iron, and nails among others, the report bares.
The NGO is launching an Inclusive Anticipatory Disease Outbreak Response project, which aims to help maintain the health of residents in island barangays.
The NGO will be conducting a three-month training on disease surveillance and solid waste management.
The organization will also provide medicines and hygiene kits to the beneficiaries of the said project.
For his part, Yap is thankful and appreciative of the kind gesture and effort exerted by the said NGO to help Bohol recover from the devastation brought about by the typhoon.
