Guv shows appreciation to gesture of Davao del Norte to help Bohol typhoon victims

The Provincial Government of Davao del Norte thru the leadership of Governor Edwin I. Jubahib has sent a team comprising 5 provincial govt. employees to personally deliver P3 million worth of food packs to their pre identified local government unit (LGU) recipients in Bohol.

The team paid a courtesy call to the Barug Bohol provincial operations center and received by Provincial Administrator Kathyrin Pioquinto and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) head Dr. Anthony Damalerio.

The team from Davao del Norte also turned over over 4,000 food packsto the Office of Provincial Social Welfare and Development (OPSWD).

According to their Team Leader OPSWD head Jiffrey Calamongay, his province was also recently placed under a state of calamity when another weather disturbance, which is a shear line, affected over 22,000 families in 7 out of their 11 LGUs.

“Mas dako ang devastation sa Bohol, so bisan na igo pud mi, motabang gihapon mi,” he added.
