The members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Bohol have expressed their concern on the dangers that might be caused by the ongoing repair/restoration operations of the distribution utilities (DU), telecommunication companies, and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).

The members have urged those engaging in repair/restoration operations to observe the safety standards to avoid possible accidents or unfortunate events.

The SP members approved a resolution reminding the Bohol Light Company Incorporated, Bohol Electric Cooperatives (BOHECO) I and II, Globe, Smart/PLDT, Dito Telecommunity, and Bohol Community Cable Television BCCTV) to follow safety standards in their respective repair and restoration efforts following the damage caused by typhoon Odette.

The electric distribution utility companies have been busy restoring the fallen lines, which is part of the power restoration operations. There are some areas in the province remain without any electricity almost two months from the time the typhoon hit Bohol.

The SP also reminded the DPWH to observe the vertical limits of its equipment to prevent accidents and even service interruptions.
