Town News – Baclayon

Baclayon mayor Benny Uy (inset, upper right corner) reports that water is now being released from the Payahan pumping station. A new pump is being used in the said station to collect water, which will be stored in the reservoir. However the electricity provided by Bohol Electric Cooperative Inc. 1 remains unstable and causes tripping from time to time, because of high voltage, which halts the pumping station’s operation. Due to unstable power, the operation of the said pumping station is limited. The pumping station will be turned on at 4:30 in the morning and will be shut down when the water level in the reservoir will reach half the capacity. This, according to the mayor will allow the refilling of the reservoir for another round of water distribution the next day. The information was provided on Jan. 25, 2022. Contributed photo
