The  Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) in Bohol will conduct the very first Women and Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Development Index (WIDI) survey, according to a press release from the said agency.
The survey aims to provide an in-depth study specifically on all female sample household members 15 years old and over and their use of ICT and the internet.
The overall objectives of the WIDI survey are as follows: to obtain data on ICT access of women and girls; to indicate extent of ICT use for education, employment; livelihood and entrepreneurship using ICTs and the online digital platform.
Moreover, the survey seeks to obtain data that can be used for ICT
planning and policy-making focused on females.

Following the 3rd Level Training conducted on January 23 to 28  2022, the survey is now on its 2nd phase which is the field enumeration, the press release says.
Hired statistical researchers with their computer tablets are set to visit the 387 sample households located in 17 municipalities and 28 barangays in Bohol, the same press release bares.

All PSA hired statistical researchers during the conduct of field
interviews are instructed to always wear and show their PSA
identification cards and observe health and safety protocol.

The PSA assures the survey respondents that all information that they have entrusted to the agency will be treated as confidential and therefore cannot be used for purposes other
than the objectives of the survey.
