Tagbilaran City is among the localities in Central Visayas that will receive a sea ambulance from the Department of Health (DOH) in Central Visayas, reports say.

The DOH has allocated five sea ambulances and one unit will be given to the city of Tagbilaran, the capital of the island province.

Early this week, the towns of Bantayan and Sta. Fe in Cebu province each received a sea ambulance from the DOH 7.

Reports say each sea ambulance costs P3 million.

The sea ambulance is equipped with an ambulance stretcher, defibrillator, nebulizer, portable suction machine, examining light, an oxygen cylinder and heavy-duty stethoscope among others.

The other localities which will also receive are the towns of Daanbantayan and Medellin, the reports add.
