Inabanga and Clarin farmers received financial aid from the Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RFFA) funds, according to a report by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER).
The distribution activity for the aid was led by Gov. Arthur Yap on Feb. 14, 2022, the same report reveals.
Around 1,826 farmers from Inabanga and Clarin each received P5,000 from the RFFA.
The RFFA funds provide financial aid to farmers tilling rice land with an area of at least half a hectare up to 3 hectares, the report adds.
It has been reported that registered farmers from 33 provinces, including Bohol, are beneficiaries of the RFFA.
There are about 52,800 farmers who are registered under the said RFFA program, which is being managed by the Department of Agriculture (DA).
The RFFA is a financial assistance program under the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund law. The said law was co-authored by Yap when he was still the representative of the 3rd district of Bohol, according to the PRIMER.
