PA confirms Bohol being placed under Covid Alert Level 2 until Feb. 28

Provincial Administrator Kathyrin Pioquinto

Provincial Administrator Kathyrin Pioquinto confirms that Bohol is placed under Covid Alert Level 2 (AL2) until the end of February 2022.

In a text message on Feb. 14, 2022, Pioquinto said that Department of Interior and Local Government USec. Epimaco Densing told her that indeed Bohol is placed under AL2.

“USec. Densing confirmed Bohol is under AL2],” Pioquinto told The Bohol Tribune.

She added that Bohol is under AL-2 until Feb. 28, 2022.

The classification is an upgrade as Bohol was placed under the much stricter AL-3 on Jan. 14, 2022.

Bohol was first placed by the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) under AL-2 back in Oct. 2021.

Under AL-2, operations of businesses which were restricted by the AL-3 level, will already be allowed to operate, reports say.

Meanwhile, the areas of Iloilo City, Iloilo province, Guimaras, Zamboanga City, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental and South Cotabato are still under AL3.

Areas not mentioned are under AL2, according to acting Palace spokesman Karlo Nograles.
