Yap, CDA turn over aid to typhoon-impacted cooperatives

Gov. Arthur C. Yap

Gov. Arthur Yap, together with the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) turned over on Feb. 16, 2022 financial aid to cooperatives impacted by the typhoon Odette.

The turnover of the financial aid was done in a local hotel in Tagbilaran City, according to a report by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER).

The governor was joined by Asec. Vidal Villanueva III and CDA-7 regional director Doreen Ancheta during the turnover ceremonies of the financial aid.

Yap expressed joy and gratitude that the CDA provided financial aid to typhoon-affected cooperatives in the province.

As this developed, Yap strongly urged cooperatives operating in the province to actively participate in programs of the government especially in agriculture.

Meanwhile, the governor also led the payout of wages to the beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Displaced/Disadvantaged Workers (TUPAD) program which is under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

The said payout was held in Panglao on Feb. 16, 2022, the PRIMER report says.

Around 200 TUPAD beneficiaries received their wages under the cash-for-work program of the DOLE, the report from the PRIMER adds.
