BM Bautista says passage of Bohol medical scholarship is a big win

Third district Board Member Jade Bautista said the passage of the proposed Bohol medical scholarship program ordinance is a “big win” for Bohol.

The said proposed ordinance was passed in the third and final reading on Feb. 22, 2022, during the regular session of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP).

The proposed ordinance is authored by 2nd district Board Member Franz Garcia-Devenosa, according to Bautista.

Bautista is the co-author of the said measure which provides financial help and scholarship grant for Boholanos who want to become medical doctors.

“As the Acting Floor Leader for today’s session (Feb. 22, 2022), I am very happy to share the good news that the Bohol Medical Scholarship Program Ordinance, is now approved on 3rd and final reading,” Bautista said in a Facebook post.

“This Ordinance aims to provide scholarship to all Doctor of Medicine Boholano students, who are financially-challenged but deserving ones,” she added.

“The collaborative effort of the joint committees, SP Secretariat and Governor’s Office Educational Center has finally paid off,” Bautista concluded.
