The town of Dauis on Feb. 22, 2022 started the rollout of the Coronavirus disease (Covid) vaccination for kids, 5 to 11 years old, according to information coming from the said municipality.

The rollout took place at the Poblacion Gym on Feb. 22, 2022, the same report says.

About 140 children were inoculated on the first day of the pediatric vaccination rollout.

The local government unit (LGU) headed by Mayor Marietta Sumaylo made the activity exciting and entertaining for the kids by having a costume contest, where the ones with the best costumes received cash prizes.

The activity was made possible with the help of the LGU personnel and staff from the Rural Health Unit headed by Dr. Joni Co and Dr. Lloyd Lyle Ravidas.

The town bared the vaccination schedule where the kids aged 5 to 11 years old will be prioritized every Tuesday and Thursday.

Meanwhile, those who are aged 12 years old and above may get vaccinated on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, the LGU in its report said.
