The road concreting project at M. Torralba street nears completion as the City Engineering Office (CEO) is now putting the final touches.
City Engineer Teodoro Estoque said that this year, major ticket projects are also lined up for completion, including the Proposed Tenement Housing in Brgy. Dampas.
In 2021, major infrastructure projects were completed by the said agency such as the following: drainage along Ligason Street; major road concreting in Dagohoy Circumferential Road, Espuelas Street, Isabo Street, G. Visarra Street, and Upper Salazar Street; repair, rehabilitation, and maintenance of asphalt roads, gravel roads, drainage, and vegetation control in the city.
The street lights and artesian wells were also taken charge by the unit including: the completion of the rehabilitation of the Cogon Public Market; the construction of the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Department’s Command Center; the landscaping of Tagbilaran City Hall with the colorful water fountain and green park.
Other projects done are: the cementing of the pavement at the City Health Office waiting area; the completion of the closure and rehabilitation of the Dampas Dumpsite Phase II which was critical in the approval of the 10-year Solid Waste Management Plan; the repainting of the City Social Welfare and Development Office; the completion of the construction of the comfort rooms in the Paglaum center; the completion of the the Health Center in Brgy. Poblacion I; the renovation of the Integrated Bus Terminal; the completion of the Tiptip Birthing Facility, and the renovation of the Tagbilaran City Public Market.
The CEO is also busy in the upgrading of facilities like the rehabilitation of the roof in the City Central Market which began its construction two weeks ago.
To date, the Green Park at the Dampas Market is an ongoing project under the CEO.

The members of the Tagbilaran City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) broke ground on Feb. 18, 2022, for the new legislative building. To recall the construction of this building is delayed due to the pandemic, according to reports released on Feb. 22, 2022.
SP members led by Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Veloso held the groundbreaking ceremonies inside the City Hall compound prior to the regular session of the said august body.
Reports say that the new legislative building will host the various offices of the SP and the city library.
The initial budget for the legislative building is pegged at P20 million.
According to reports, the SP legislative building was supposed to be constructed in 2020, but the budget was realigned to support the city’s response against the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic.
Presently, the SP members hold their sessions inside the City Hall. The offices of SP members are also hosted inside the City Hall.
