Vice Gov. Rene L. Relampagos
Vice Gov. Rene Lopez Relampagos and the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Bohol expressed thanks to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for its donation of a motorcycle for Bohol, according to reports.
SP members approved a resolution giving authority to Gov. Arthur Yap to receive a motorcycle donated by the DENR to the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh).
The DENR donated the motorcycle, which is a way for the agency to show its appreciation for the help of the PGBh in the implementation of the Integrated Natural Resources and Environmental Management Project (INREMP) here, according to OIC Provincial Agriculturist Dr. Larry Pamugas.
INREMP in Bohol is located in Wahig-Inabanga Upper River Basin, reports say.
Moreover, Pamugas said the vehicle has been used by PGBh during the implementation of the said project.
It can be recalled that the DENR in Bohol and PGBh had entered into a Memorandum of Agreement on Sept. 2, 2016, for the implementation of INREMP in the Wahig-Inabanga Watershed.
The motorcycle was provided by the DENR to be used by the PGBh in the duration of the project, which concluded in Dec. 2021.
Meanwhile, Relampagos expressed his gratitude to DENR for the donation.
He added that the motorcycle will immensely help the PGBh in implementation of various projects.
The INREMP is a joint program by the DENR and the PGBh to reduce and reverse the severe environmental degradation at the Wahig-Inabanga Upper River Basin.
