About 14 schools in Bohol are about to conduct limited face-to-face classes starting this Wednesday, Mar. 9, 2022, an official of the Department of Education (DepEd)-Bohol division said.
In a telephone interview, DepEd Bohol assistant schools division superintendent Danilo Gudelosao said that the 14 schools are located in Candijay, Alburquerque, Loboc, Cortes, Getafe and Panglao.
The schools in these areas have submitted themselves to the School Safety Assessment Tool (SSAT) and slated to be given a safety seal from the DepEd regional office.
Gudelosao said the following schools in Bohol have been validated and will get the safety seal in order for them to start limited face-to-face classes by Wednesday.
Candijay – Tambongan National High School; Alburquerque – Cantiguib Elementary School; Loboc – Triple Union Elementary School; Cortes – Fatima National High School; Getafe – Sto. Niño Elementary School; Panglao – Lourdes Elementary School, Bil-isan Elementary School, Felix Bompat High School, Looc Elementary School, Panglao Central Elementary School, Panglao Central East Elementary School, Balicasag Elementary School, Bolod Elementary School and Tawala Elementary School
The officials of the said schools were instructed to ensure the classrooms are ready for classes by Monday, Mar. 7, 2022, Gudelosao bared.
Moreover, Gudelosao said the officials of the said schools will conduct orientation on the implementation of the face-to-face classes among parents, barangay officials and other stakeholders on Mar. 8, 2022.
The DepEd official said that the face-to-face classes are limited thus the blended learning modality will remain in effect among all learners.
He said only vaccinated teachers and non-teaching personnel will be allowed to be in the school premises. The unvaccinated teachers will be assigned to conduct blended learning activities.
Around 474 schools in Central Visayas have already been given the green light to conduct in-person classes, according to reports.
