Jagna dad posts BLGF data; says 2nd dist. towns are richer than 3rd district LGUs

A Jagna councilor posted on social media the data coming from the Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) of the Department of Finance (DOF) and remarked that 2nd district towns are richer than their 3rd district counterparts.

Coun. Anthony Aniscal created a social media post on Mar. 1, 2022 where he showed the BLGF data.

He then made a comment in his post saying that while it has been insinuated that the 2nd district is the poorest area in Bohol, the “budget records” show that the 3rd district towns are poorer compared to 2nd district towns in terms of income.

“3rd District Towns ang looy sa income kon ekompara sa 2nd district towns sigun sa 2019 data report gikan sa Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) sa Department of Finance (DoF),” Aniscal said in his post.

Aniscal added: “Gisaway ang 2nd district nga kinapobrehan apan ang budget records nagpakita nga mas pobre ang 3rd district towns kun maghisgot tas income.”

He explained that each year, municipal treasurers submit financial data to the BLGF stating the town’s income.

“Kada tuig, ang municipal treasurer mosomitir ngadto sa DoF pinaagi sa BLGF sa income sa maong lungsod on that particular year,” he said.

After which, Aniscal insinuated that Gov. Arthur Yap ended his 9-year stint as congressman of the 3rd district in June of 2019 and was replaced by incumbent Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor.

“Ang 2019 maoy pagkahoman sa 9 ka tuig ni Gov Art Yap isip 3rd district congressman ug maoy pagsugod ni Cong. Alexie Besas Tutor samtang ang 2nd district congressman mao si Cong. Aris Aumentado,” Aniscal said.

REACTION

Aniscal then posted a reaction comment after Provincial Administrator Kathyrin Pioquinto slammed the former about his post. (see related story on front page)

“Basilan Provincial Administrator of Bohol Kathyrin Pioquinto gihapdosan sa atong post,” Aniscal said in another post that was released on Mar. 2, 2022.

Aniscal welcomed the idea of Pioquinto to organize an orientation/seminar on financial literacy among government officials.

“Wala koy problema maam [Pioquinto] ug mag organize ka ug seminar, motambong ko ky as a young and UNCORRUPTED public official, willing ko makakat-on sa insaktong mga pamaagi,” Aniscal said.

The Jagna alderman made a side comment involving his peers at the Sangguniang Bayan (SB) in Jagna.

“Pero unaha patambong na imong mga kaalyado arribabag SB [Sangguniang Bayan] MAJORITY sa Jagna ky until now they are ignorant on local budget ky wala e approve ang 2022 annual budget sa lungsod ug ang cash assistance for typhoon Odette victims. Cguro u can arrange lecture on SB MAJORITY Jagna by tomorrow. Why silent ka anang dapita coz u dont care sa mga Jagnaanons nga apektado?” he said.

Aniscal continued: “I’m willing to learn if ever naa koy dapat makat-onan. Ayaw lang eapil todlo unsaon pagpangawat sa kaban sa goberno ky wako kasuway ana (ambot lang kaha ikaw) ug d sab ko gustong makat-on. Go ahead and im ready to attend. Make it ASAP [as soon as possible] ky basin walay second term si Gov Yap co-terminus raba ka.”

Aniscal quipped: “Dili man gud mo tig upload dinha sa province sa updated income mao na maonhan mo sa BLGF sa Department of Finance. Instead of ad hominem argument nga imong posturing sa post, why not let Boholanos understand it well if you really have the required knowledge?”

He concluded his post: “Compelled man kaha ka to post as a response sa akong post, asa man imong documentary evidence and sources? Kanang akoa klaro nga gikan sa BLGF Department of Finance gipakapinan paka ug link. Kanang content sa imo post maoy fake news cguro maam ky ur only after the protection of ur governor.”
