Gov. Arthur Yap met with Manny V. Pangilinan, also known as MVP, for the Balay Bol-anon project, according to a report released by the Provincial Information and Media Relations (PRIMER) on Mar. 8, 2022.

The governor met with Pangilinan on Mar. 7, 2022 as the former presented the current situation of Bohol almost 3 months after typhoon Odette battered the province.

In the said meeting, Yap shared with Pangilinan the Balay Bol-anon project, which is a way to help Boholanos who lost their homes due to the typhoon, the report adds.

Yap thanked Pangilinan for the latter’s support for the project who reportedly committed a donation of P10 million, the PRIMER reports.

The Balay Bol-anon project allows donors to donate resources to be used in the rebuilding of damaged Boholano homes.

A website will be launched soon where donors can choose the beneficiaries.

The donors can also learn from the soon to be launched website, the cost and design of the homes that will be built for the beneficiaries.

Also found in the website are instructions on how the donors can transfer funds to be used in building of the homes for the typhoon victims, the report mentions.

Moreover, the website includes status reports of the construction activities of non-government organizations, civil society, and private groups, which are helping Boholanos rebuild their homes.

The Balay Bol-anon project will be formally launched soon with more details and information which can be accessed at www.shelter.bohol.gov.ph. Bohol Shelter Program
