Dili madugay ang Kabisay-an makangkon ug usa ka government media hub nga mag hatud ug mga haom nga balita ug impormasyon alang sa mga rehiyon, human gipangunahan ni Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Sec. Martin Andanar ang groundbreaking ceremony niadtong Feb. 24, 2022 sumala sa taho sa Philippine Information Agency nga gipagawas niadtong Mar. 7, 2022.
Ang maong pasilidad ipabarug sa usa ka luna nga adunay sukod nga 3,000 metro kwadrado nga gipanagiya sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) didto sa barangay Subangdaku.
Matud pa ni Andanar mao ang mahimong main broadcast center sa kagamhanang nasyonal alang sa Central ug Eastern Visayas.
“The world-class media hub is part of our vision in the wider PCOO family to ensure that we provide tailored news and information, establish direct connectivity with the public, and bring the government closer to the Bisaya people, especially in preparation for, during times of calamities and disasters, and their aftermath,” sumala ni Andanar.
“We have so much catching up to do but we were able to catch up because of good leaders behind it,” dugang ni Andanar.
Mipahalipay, pinaagi sa usa ka video message, si Presidente Rodrigo Duterte alang sa inisyatiba nga gihimo sa PCOO.
“I welcome the creation of this new facility and state-of -the-art equipment that will push the government’s communications service across the country. I am certain that this hub will be a beacon of excellence as we modernize government media for the improved welfare of our people in the Visayas and the rest of the nation,” matud sa presidente.
Ang PCOO maoy manguna sa pagdumala sa maong pasilidad ug maghimo usab ug Mindanao Media Hub. Apil usab sa Visayas Media Hub ang ubang ahensya sama sa Philippine Broadcasting Service (PBS), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Philippine News Agency (PNA), ug ang Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM).
Ang maong pasilidad adunay kinatobuk-ang kantidad nga P600 mllion nga gikan sa budget sa PCOO nga gipaluyuhan ni Sen. Christopher “Bong” Go.
Alang sa senador, dakong tabang ang maong pasilidad sa paghatag ug serbisyo ug information sa tanang katawhan bisan asa sa kalibutan.
“This is a vital step to increase civic awareness and public participation among Filipinos, especially in the Visayas regions,” matud ni Go.
