58 Tagbilaran women receive livelihood aid

About 58 Tagbilaran women received livelihood assistance from the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD) on Mar. 14, 2022, according to a report of the City Media Bureau released on Mar. 17, 2022.

These women were also trained on food processing by the City Social Welfare and Development’s (CSWD) training and education arm led by Anelsa Sumalinog.

The Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG) aims to help women affected by the Coronavirus disease (Covid) pandemic and typhoon Odette.

City Mayor John Geesnell Yap in his message to the beneficiaries,stressed the importance of having a stable source of income.

“Aside from nurturing their families, women help men to provide food on the table. This livelihood assistance is relevant in difficult times, specifically now that we have had the Covid-19 pandemic and typhoon Odette. It will provide the needed push to our women to go on despite challenges,” Mayor Yap said.
