Former Gov. Tirol’s remains lie in state at family’s residence

Former Governor David Tirol

The remains of former Gov. David Tirol lie in state at the family’s residence at barangay Booy, Tagbilaran according to Leah Tirol Magno.

Leah Tirol Magno said that public viewing is from March 18 to 20, 2022.

“Please omit flowers, donation to your favourite charity is appreciated,” Leah Tirol-Magno added.

On March 16, 2022, former Gov. David Tirol died at around 8:25 in the evening.

“He was surrounded by his loving wife Dr. Amalia R. Tirol, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and relatives when he returned home to the loving embrace of the Lord,” Leah Tirol Magno bared in her post on Facebook.

Aside from being a former governor, David Tirol was also a former congressman of the 2nd district of Bohol. He was also a former city councilor of Tagbilaran.

 He also served as president of the University of Bohol.
