An alleged kin of slain suspected drug lord Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria was arrested by the police in an operation at Banacon Island, Getafe town on Mar. 16, 2022, and yielded not less than P14 million worth of suspected shabu, according to reports.
Reports add that the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-7 identified the suspect as a certain Mark Secretaria Duaban, 42, a resident of barangay Duljo-Fatima in Cebu City.
Duaban was arrested by regional police drug operatives following an anti-drug in the said island in Getafe.
Duaban, allegedly, is a cousin of Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria. The latter was killed by authorities during a shootout in Banacon Island in Getafe in 2016.
Rowen “Yawa” Secretaria was reportedly an associate of another alleged drug lord identified as Jeffrey “Jaguar” Diaz
Reports mention that the RPDEU and other police units in Bohol conducted a buy-bust operation against Duaban where the authorities seized around 75 grams of shabu with a street value of P14.1 million.
Moreover, Duaban alleged in an interview with the media in Cebu that he got a call telling him to receive certain items, which were supposed to be delivered by a 9-year-old boy who was tapped to be the drug courier.
According to reports, Duaban was known in his area as a “pastor” and allegedly founded a religious sect, counting his family members as part of the said congregation.
Duaban is now facing charges of violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
