1,000 Dauis residents get P5,000 cash aid from DSWD

Around 1,000 residents of Dauis town are expected to receive P5,000 cash aid each from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), according to Mayor Marietta Sumaylo.

Sumaylo revealed this during a radio interview over Open Forum on March 23, 2022 hosted by Greg Austral and Dave Albarado.

The mayor said the payout will be done on Friday, Mar. 25, 2022.

Moreover, Sumaylo clarified that the cash aid distribution is only partial and prioritizes families whose houses were totally destroyed as a result of typhoon Odette.

Sumaylo clarified that it will be the DSWD who is going to distribute the cash aid, as the budget is not going to be downloaded in the town’s coffers.

Upon the completion of the partial distribution of cash aid, the DSWD will soon release cash aid to other typhoon victims in Dauis, Sumaylo bared.

The P5,000 cash aid to be distributed to residents is the one promised by President Duterte to be given to typhoon victims, the mayor concluded.
