Solon prays for peaceful, successful polls

First District Cong. Edgar Chatto is praying for a peaceful and successful holding of elections in May.

Chatto emphasized the importance of discernment in the choice for servant leaders that will propel the province towards greater heights of growth and development.

Chatto, a veteran in public service and undefeated political candidate, said the province’s road to progress will be best achieved with servant leadership.

This is best espoused in putting premium on the needs of the people who are being served, he said.

Moreover. Chatto joined the Padayon Bol-anon team led by Gov. Arthur Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos in a grand kick off rally as the campaign for local candidates began on Friday, March 25, 2022 at the Talibon Gym.

He joined the entire Padayon Bol-anon provincial slate in the said rally, which included former Board Member Jovanna Jumamoy and incumbent Valencia Mayor Katrina Lim who are running for Congressional seats in the second and third districts, respectively.

Yap and Relampagos have put forth a listening and caring leadership at the core of their governance, accorrding to Chatto.

The provincial line up of candidates of Padayon Bol-anon was warmly met by host Talibon mayor Janette Garcia and Vice Mayor Dave Evangelista along with the members of their local slate.

The Padayon Bol-anon team is scheduled to hold campaign rallies in all three districts of the province.

Running for a second term in Congress, Chatto is determined to see through the completion of major infrastructure projects such as the Gov. Celestino Gallares Memorial Hospital (GCGMH) Cortes Campus as well as initiatives such as the opening of a College of Medicine at the Bohol Island State University (BISU), both major developments in the field of health.

He is working towards the opening of a provincial office of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and a full consular office of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).

He is also keen on pushing for important legislative measures in support of development goals of the province and the country.

“I am always thankful for the support and constant partnerships in serving the Boholano community and I look forward to continued trust and confidence as I submit myself to the upcoming electoral process as first district representative,” Chatto stated.
