Chatto picks out Calape as site for grand rally

Rep. Edgar Chatto, and the rest of the Pundok Padayon Bol-anon, picked out the town of Calape as the site of the grand rally to launch the solon’s reelection bid.

The grand rally was held on Mar. 30, 2022, reports from the solon’s office says.

Chatto was with the provincial slate of Pundok Padayon Bol-anon headed by Gov. Arthur Yap and Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos. They led the campaign rally with reelectionists Calape mayor Nelson Yu and Vice Mayor Junie Yu.

Chatto, who strongly backs the candidacies of Yap and Relampagos, enumerated the elements of leadership to hundreds of people in attendance.

“Leadership entails intelligence and information, capacity to lead, experience, accountability, and development orientation,” Chatto stated.

“Whom we choose to make vital decisions for our people, must possess intelligence, not only education but the ability to process information in order to arrive at the best decisions that will lead towards better lives for people,” he explained.

“It is also important to check positions of leaderships, whether in the private or public sectors, as well as experience of a candidate,” Chatto added.

“A leader is accountable to the people he serves, to address their needs and in terms of how much of the development agenda is met. They must also be development-oriented, know how to plan, to access source of funds, and to implement plans and programs,” he quipped, alluding to the leadership of Yap across challenges faced by the province posed by the pandemic and typhoon Odette.

Chatto also joined the Pundok Padayon Bol-anon provincial slate and municipal level candidates in proclamation rallies in Maribojoc on the same day and in Dauis on Sunday, March 27, 2022, as well as in Baclayon and Maribojoc last Tuesday, March 29, 2022.
