Police arrested a man for allegedly raping a teenage girl following an operation on April 1, 2022 at barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City, according to reports released on April 5, 2021.
The police identified the suspect as a certain Eddie de los Santos, 37, of JA Clarin, barangay Dao, Tagbilaran City.
The suspect was arrested by a team composed of police from Panglao town, Tagbilaran City Police Station, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG), Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) and personnel from Camp Dagohoy.
Delos Reyes is being accused of allegedly raping the victim multiple times in 2021, reports say.
Reports add that the suspect allegedly raped the victim at their home in barangay Tawala, Panglao town. The suspect was reportedly a live-in partner of the victim’s mother.
The suspect allegedly got the victim pregnant. The rape victim gave birth to twins back in February but one of whom died following a premature delivery, reports bare.
The suspect was taken into custody as there was no bail recommended for the suspect’s provisional liberty.
