The two biggest political groups in the province are conducting campaign sorties in two separate districts in Bohol, according to reports.
Pundok Padayon Bol-anon, headed by Gov. Arthur Yap, on Apr. 6, 2022 headed to the 1st district towns of Sikatuna and Cortes.
On the other hand, Abante Bohol, the political coalition headed by gubernatorial bet and 2nd district Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado, visited Lila town, which is located in the 3rd district of Bohol on April 5, 2022.
Padayon Bol-anon’s mayoralty bet in Sikatuna, incumbent mayor Justiniana Ellorimo, is running unopposed while current Cortes mayor Lynn Iven Lim, Padayon Bol-anon’s candidate, is up against Alex Initay of PROMDI party.
Aside from Yap, the Padayon Bol-anon team that visited the said 1st district towns was composed of Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos, 1st district Cong. Edgar Chatto and members of the provincial and local tickets.
“Malipayon kitang nakighimamat ug nakigsandurot sa atong mga kaigsuonan, lideres ug supporters sa lungsod sa Sikatuna ug Cortes,” the governor said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Aumentado was joined by 3rd dist. Rep. Kristine Alexie Tutor, and members of the provincial and local slates of Abante Bohol during the canpaign rally in Lila town.
Incumbent Lila mayor Arturo Jed Piollo faces Frederick Raut of Padayon Bol-anon in the mayoralty race this coming May polls.
In his speech, Rep. Aumentado stressed that he was tasked by his late father, former Gov. Erico B. Aumentado, to continue uplift the lives of Boholanos.
“Gibinlan ko ug tahas sa akong amahan para tabangan ang mga Bol-anon ug ipadayon ang nasugdan sa akong amahan,” Rep. Aumentado said during the Lila rally.
The late former governor Erico B. Aumentado, Rep. Aumentado’s father and namesake, served as Bohol’s local chief executive from 2001 to 2010.
