CSC CSE-PPT online-only application opens on April 12

by Rey Anthony Chiu

On April 12, 2022 the Civil Service Commission opens its registration portals for the June 19, 2022 Career Service Examination Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for professional and sub professional levels.

For Boholanos, the examination venue in Tagbilaran City, is already a great opportunity to be part of this exam that, when passed, is a key to a potential employment in the government.

Open to private individuals as well as those already employed in government service, the CSE this time, entertains only online applications and provides limited slots, CSC Bohol information officer Liezl del Rosario said.  Getting the slots will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

“We will not be accepting any walk-in applications to ensure health and safety of all concerned and to prevent the spread of coronavirus diseases,” del Rosario stressed.

While the registration portal opens from April 12 to April 28, 2022, the CSC said they would close the registration when the slots have been filled out.

That means that on April 12, 2022, applicants would have to access the CSC link: https://ocseas.csc.gov.ph, sign up and create a user account in the link, and then access their email accounts to get the registration link. They then need to click on the registration link to activate their accounts with the CSC.

On the registration link in the redirected page, applicant signs in using the credentials he/she used upon sign up.

Then the applicant fills in the profile page and click on update profile.

Then he/she must select examination schedule based on the CSC Field Office where he is taking the exam, classification, type of exam, and the testing center.

Applicant then has to read the admission and application requirements and then click on “Proceed,” browse through important reminders and then click “apply now.”

Then the applicant can start filling in the additional personal data and when finished, click on “Submit Application.”

Then the applicant shall access his email account to see if his application is approved or rejected.

If the application gets disapproved, he/she can re resubmit an application.

If the application gets approved, the next step is for the applicant to set an appointment schedule by clicking on the calendar icon, select the preferred date of appearance and then click “submit.”

Then the applicant has to print the application forms with application numbers and the name of the evaluating officer visible and legible. Moreover, the applicant should make an appearance during the scheduled appointment schedule, to the CSC Field Office he/she is set to appear and submit the requirements.

During his/her appointment, applicants are reminded to observe the basic health and safety protocols including the mandatory proper wearing of face masks.

If on the scheduled appointment date, the applicant fails to appear, the CSC will cancel all data.

As soon as his/her papers are submitted physically, the applicant will be issued an official receipt and the application receipt.

While the application is generally online, it is also automated and the slots, even when filled, could reopen anytime as an application is disapproved, but only as long as it is still within the application period.
