Lacson-Sotto team visits Bohol

The team of presidential candidate Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson and vice presidential bet Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto visited Bohol to touch base with the electorate here.

The tandem was joined by senatoriables Dr. Minguita Padilla and former Agriculture Sec. Manny Piñol in the sortie here in Bohol.

They first visited the Provincial Capitol and then engaged with farmers, fishermen and transport sector representatives in a town hall meeting at a local restaurant.

After which, the team had an interaction with the media in a press conference at the Bohol Tropics.

The Lacson-Sotto tandem ended its visit to Bohol with a rally held at Jagna town.

In Jagna, Mayor Rañola endorses the candidacies of Sotto and Lacson during the proclamation rally inside the Jagna gymnasium.

Reports say that at least 2,000 supporters attended the said rally.

For his part, Lacson thanked Rañola for teaching the former about the national budget which helped him scrutinize the country’s spending during deliberationsnat the Senate.

SUPPORT

Lacson said he unfazed about not getting the endorsement of local leaders. He said that it is critical to get the support of the voters.

“May mga local leaders na may iniindorse na mga ibang candidates, pero pagdating sa ground, sa mga tao, iba yung na-experience namin because after all isang boto lang naman yung governor, isang boto lang ang mayor, ang talagang boto nangagaling sa ground,” Lacson said.

He added that he did not expect the show of support displayed by people at the provincial capitol.

Lacson admitted that the endorsement of President Duterte is can help boost the candidacy of any of the candidate running in the elections. The endorsement of the president carries the guaranteed support coming from local officials and members of Congress.
