The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has mobilized its assets for the erection of the emergency restoration system (ERS) in order to restore power to Bohol.

This was revealed in an advisory released by the NGCP through its spokesperson Betty Martinez on Apr. 11, 2022.

“NGCP has mobilized preparation of logistics for the erection of Emergency Restoration System (ERS) structures to initially restore one circuit of the Ormoc-Maasin line to supply power to Bohol,” the advisory said.

“NGCP is exerting all efforts to restore power in Bohol as early as possible. The estimate date and time of restoration will be announced as soon as available,” it added.

Bohol remains without power since 12:03 am of Apr. 11, 2022 due to the tripping off of the 138kV Ormoc-Maasin Lines 1 and 2 caused by tropical storm Agaton.

“Based on line inspection, four steel towers were affected due to a landslide in Brgy. Bunga, Baybay, Leyte,” the NGCP reported.

Earlier, Martinez said that the transmission lines within Bohol are unaffected.

Typhoon Agaton impacted several provinces in Easten Visayas and even brought rains and strong winds to some parts of Bohol, especially in the northern and eastern portions of the province, according to the Philppine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
