Second District Representative Erico Aristotle Aumentado’s net satisfaction rating
(NSR) dropped to the lowest level since he assumed office as solon in 2013.
The Bohol Poll conducted by the Holy Name University (HNU)-Center for Research and Publications (CRP) bared that the solon’s NSR in 2022 dropped to 59% compared to the previous 86% NSR in tallied in the 2019.
The drastic drop of 27% in NSR compared to the previous rating is quite significant, according to observers.
Historical data show that Aumentado got a 69% NSR in 2016. It then surged to 84% in 2017 and in 2018 to 92%.
However, in 2019, it went downhill to 86%.
The growing dissatisfaction from among the solon’s constituents in the 2nd district where he serves as representative since 2013 is reflected in the survey.
On the other hand, the PRIMER asked some voters in the second district about the solon’s performance in his almost 9 years of service.
In a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 as the lowest and 10 the highest, people were
asked to rate Aumentado’s performance.
Most of them have given the solon a satisfaction rating that ranges from 4 to 6.
Among the 50 respondents the PRIMER asked from the 14 towns in the 2nd district, only 10 gave the solon a passing 7 to 9 rating. No one gave Aumentado a rating of 10.
The respondents revealed the reasons for their dissatisfaction which are:
1) The solon has not given emphasis or assistance to address the lack of
livelihood opportunities among 2nd district residents;
2.) Unfinished projects such as covered courts and road concreting;
3.) Aumentado will only be visible in their barangay during election;
4.) The congressman did not address the water problem in the barangays;
5.) Aumentado has not given any assistance during and after the pandemic and typhoon Odette;
6.) The people did not hear any plans or platform of government from him other than his attacks against his political foes;
7.) Aumentado is not residing in the second district;
8.) Aris is hungry for power for allowing his wife to run as representative and his niece as board member in the second district while he is running for governor.
The 10 respondents who gave the solon a passing rate gave these reasons:
1.) He is a true Boholano;
2.) His father was responsible for big-ticket projects when the elder Aumentado was the governor of Bohol;
3.) The solon is not intimidating because of his “barkadista” attitude.

Damalerio said, “Clearly Aris’ net satisfaction rating speaks about his performance
in the second district as its representative. What can we deduce from it? He is not good as a leader.”
Moreover, Damalerio quipped, “Pila ka tuig na sila nga nagserbisyo sa segundo distrito, nganong hangtod karon wala man nila matabangi ang katawhan nga mapa-usbaw ang ilang panginabuhi-an? Kung maghisgot ta ug datos, matud pa sa Philippine Statistics Authority ug sa [National Economic Development Authority] NEDA, naa sa segundo distrito ang pinakadaghan nga mga Bol-anon nga naglisod, nakasinati ug mga kalisdanan. Nganong wala may action ang kongresista ana? Dili man pud ta motuo ug wala siya mahibawo ana. Unsa may iyang gibuhat?”
Damalerio added, “Gani, ang problema sa tubig sa segundo distrito wala pa gyud niya mahatagan ug solusyon hangtod karon. Almost 3 decades sila nga naghari sa segundo distrito, pero hangtod karon, daghan pa gihapon ang wala katilaw nga mo-agas ang tubig sa gripo sa ilang mga panimalay. Sa kadugay-dugay nila naghawod-hawod diha, nganong si Art Yap raman pud ang nakabutang ug mga desalination plants sa mga kaislahan aron adunay tinubdan sa tab-ang nga tubig ang mga kaigsuonang Bol-anon nga nagpuyo sa isla? Simple raman unta ni kung naghuna-huna pa siya ug tarong ug kung nibati pa siya sa kalisdanan sa iyang katawhan. Ang problema man gud, lutaw man kaayo siya ug panghuna-huna. Pirming naglupad.Tugpa intawn pud panagsa uy. Sud-unga ang kalisod sa imung katawhan.”
Furthermore, Damalerio said, “Karon nga nahigmata na ang segundo distrito sa tinuod nga kahimtang nila, makasigurado ko nga sa umaabot panahon, mabag-o na ang nawng sa didto sa 2nd district pinaagi ni Jaja Jumamoy. Kung tan-awon nimu karon, klaro naman gyud ang kadaugan ni Jaja Jumamoy. Bisan pa ug unsaon ni Vanvan Aumentado, dili gyud siya maka-apas sa padayong pagsulbong ni Jaja sa segundo distrito. Mao nga with Jaja Jumamoy as next congresswoman, and with the trend we are seeing nga Gov. Art Yap will win his reelection as governor, masaligon ta nga matabangan na gyud nato ang segundo distrito ug ang katawhan didto aron mahaw-as sila sa kalisdanan.”
Damalerio bared, “It will be painful for the Aumentados to taste their first failure. But that is imminent. Tungod man pud na kay wala nila pangga-a ug tarong ang katawhan nga ilang gi-alagaran. Gipasagdan ra nila. Gitalikdan nila sa panahon nga nanginahanglan ang katawhan sa ilang suporta. Walay question ang amahan kay maayo man pud to. Pero kaning anak, si Aris, gibuling-bulingan lang niya ang bansagon sa iyang amahan. Ingon bitaw tong taga Ubay pag-adto namo didto nga layo ra gyud kuno kaayo ang anak kung itandi sa amahan. Dili daw maduol ang anak.”
Damalerio finally said, “Ako manghinaut ko nga karong panahon sa kwaresma,
magreflect unta ang katawhan. Hinumduman nato, dili ta pwedeng masayop sa pagpili sa pagkagobernador. Importante ang 2022 election kay mao ni yawe sa atong pagbarug balik gikan sa kalamidad. Dili mahimo nga ihatag nato ang renda sa pangagamhanan sa tawo nga walay klarong kabangka-agan sa pagpangalagad. Walay klarong direksyon sa kalambuan. Nagkinahanglan ta ug amahan sa lalawigan nga adunay lantip nga salabutan, naay kasinati-an sa pagpangalagad, taas ang kinaadman, ug adunay daghang koneksyon
sa nasyonal nga pangagamhanan nga makakuha ug dugang suporta alang sa atong mga kaigsuonang Bol-anon aron matabangan sila sa pagbarug balik sa ilang panimalay, pangina buhi-an nga naghagba tungod sa niaging kalamidad.”
