Reports say unattended mosquito coil causes fire in Tagb

Reports say that an unattended mosquito coil was the alleged cause of a fire that erupted in Tagbilaran City and gutted a home on Apr. 11, 2022.

The Tagbilaran City Fire Station (TFFS) said that the estimated damage resulting from the fire was estimated at P450,000 affecting a 2-storey home located at CPG East Avenue, barangay Poblacion 1.

No one was injured during the fire incident and the fire did not spread to nearby houses, reports add.

Initial investigations revealed that allegedly a man who was renting the house lighted a mosquito coil inside his room for about half an hour. When he returned, the room was already engulfed in flames.

The fire was declared out at around 9:30 pm.
