UB CON holds face-to-face capping, badge investiture, candle lighting rites

The University of Bohol (UB) College of Nursing (CON) successfully conducted the 44th and 45th Capping, Badge Investiture, and Candle Lighting Ceremonies involving its Level 3 and Level 2 students, respectively, on Mar. 29, 2022, at the school’s gymnasium, according to a press release from the university.

The ceremonies were done in-person or face-to-face. There were two separate ceremonies that took place on March 29, 2022, one for each batch, the same press release said.

UB President, Dr. Victoriano B. Tirol, III, who officially recognized the students as Level 2 (UB Banners 2024) and Level 3 (UB Nightingales 2023), delivered an inspirational message to all the participants.

The said ceremonies are significant milestones among nursing students. During the said event, the nursing students expressed their vow to
serve society as healthcare professionals, the press release revealed.

Prof. Lalaine Lao-Domapias, dean of the CON, bared that a total of 104 Level 3 students and 131 Level 2 students took part in the said ceremonies.

The CON and other related medical courses in UB are presently implementing limited face-to-face classes, the press release bared.
