UB grad bags 5th place in midwifery exam

Jessa G. Vertulfo, a graduate of the University of Bohol (UB) College of Midwifery, bagged the 5th place in the Midwifery Board Examination given on April 7 to 8, 2022.

Vertulfo obtained an average grade of 88.75%, according to the press release from the university.

College of Midwifery Dean Maria Lourdes B. Lanada bared the other of successful exam passers from UB are Laiza Catherine Ayuban, Sarah Calulo, Jemma Marie Datahan, Kim Jay Yvonne , Jovie Guigue, and Hanna Mae Pasa.

UB posted a 100% passing average among its first-time exam takers and an overall performance of 53.85%, the press release bared.

It can be recalled that the UB College of Midwifery previously produced two board top-notchers. They are Cheryl Tambis who took the examinations of Nov. 2012 and Milkillee Bangalao who took the test in Nov. 2017.

In the Province of Bohol, UB is the only institution offering a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (BSM) course. With the permission from Commission on Higher Education (CHED), the College of Midwifery is presently conducted limited face-to-face classes.
