VG Rene: PGBh expands GMPH’s services

The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), under the leadership of Gov. Arthur Yap, has opened the new health care services to the public being offered in the Garcia Memorial Provincial Hospital (GMPH) in Talibon town, according to Vice Gov. Rene Relampagos.
The formal launch of the new services at the GMPH was held on April 7, 2022, according to reports.
The GMPH has its own real time-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) machine that can process swab samples for Coronavirus disease (Covid) testing.
The said hospital has its own drug test laboratory for those who need to avail themselves of this particular testing service, the reports add.
Furthermore, a microbiology laboratory is also available in the hospital.

There is also a new 2D Echo Cardiography machine in the hospital so that those living in or near Talibon will no longer go to far places just to get heart-related lab tests.
Likewise, a tuberculosis Genexpert machine and dental clinic are now operational at the GMPH.
As this developed, Relampagos said that the newly provided healthcare services will greatly benefit the public.
Relampagos added that the Sangguniang Panlalawigan under his leadership will always be supporting programs and projects that are advantageous to the province in terms expansion of health services, especially among province-owned and operated hospitals like the GMPH.
