Boholana nurse Cindy Marie Gallego – Dabalos was awarded as Most Outstanding Clinical Teammate for the First Quarter 2022 by the DaVita Eagle Region 4, Treasure Hills Dialysis health facility in Texas, USA, according to reports.
The healthcare institution in Texas cited Dabalos for her exemplary performance in managing the healthcare facility despite facing challenges posed by the post-holiday Omicron variant surge in Texas USA.
She was able to manage the challenges presented by the high number of Coronavirus disease (Covid) patients.
It was reported that admissions for Covid spiked starting in late December 2021, all of January and into February, 2022.
Moreover, Dabalos admitted and cared for at least 168 patients in January alone.
Aside from handling all the admission requests from start to finish, Dabalos also took care of the medical records and consent printing needs.
She reviewed records, placed orders, entered all clinical data for each patient as she completed all admit assessments, falcon documentation, and discharge summaries.
Furthermore, Dabalos did all of these tasks while performing her managerial roles at the said healthcare facility.
The healthcare institution said that Dabalos is a great and resilient leader who has compassion for her team and patients.
The awardee finshed her education from elementary to college at the Divine Word College – Tagbilaran (now Holy Name University).
