BCCI stages Candidates Forum 2022
The Bohol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) staged the Candidates Forum 2022, which is the organization’s traditional “Your Voice, Our Choice” pre-election event.
It is an advocacy intended to inform and educate the electorate of the candidates’ qualifications, platform, plans of government and stand regarding important issues affecting the Boholanos.
The BCCI hosts the said forum every election year.
This year the audience attendees to the forum were limited due to the restrictions, which unlike in the past where an audience was allowed to witness the forum.
The forum was held for 2 days with 2 sessions per day. The morning session of Apr. 19, 2022 was attended by 1st District Cong. Edgar Chatto, 1st district congressional candidate Fabio Ontomg and 3rd district congressional bet and Valencia mayor Katrina Lim.
The afternoon session of the forum on Apr. 19, 2022 was attended by the 2nd district congressional candidates Maria Vanessa Aumentado, Gerry Garcia and former Senior Board Member Jovanna Jumamoy.
The morning session on the 2nd day, Apr. 20, 2022 was allotted to Tagbilaran City mayoralty candidates former Mayor Dan Neri Lim, Salvio Makinano, Coun. Vicente Polinar and First Lady Jane Yap.
The final session was supposed to feature gubernatorial candidates but only Gov. Arthur Yap showed up as Cong. Aris Aumentado and Hercules Castillo skipped the said forum.
