The Bohol Electric Cooperative 1 has set May 20, 2022 as its deadline to fully restore the electric lines in the distribution utility’s service area, according to a report of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
The PIA quoted the information released by BOHECO 1 on April 22, 2022 that the full restoration of power lines in all 29 towns under its service area will be on May 20, 2022.
The PIA quoted sources saying that the distribution utility is prioritizing the power line restoration to schools and barangay halls.
These critical infrastructure will be used during the conduct of election this May 9, 2022.
As of the moment, there are 1,183 lateral lines still awaiting to be fixed in the next 17 days.
The PIA reports that BOHECO 1 needs to erect 69 poles a day to hit the full restoration of lateral lines to energize areas that will be used as polling centers.
Moreover, the restoration of lateral lines in Dauis and Panglao towns are nearing completion, the PIA adds.
