by Ruth Anino
Allied Care Experts (ACE) Medical Center-Bohol is, indeed, heading towards the right direction. Being aware of the intricacies of Frontline Service Delivery, it never had any doubt as it sponsored a seminar-workshop entitled Customer Service through Effective Communication in the Workplace.
ACE Medical Center-Bohol invited the editors of The Bohol Tribune (TBT) to conduct the said seminar workshop. These editors are also the founders and managers of “Smile”, Philipines – an Event Coordinating and Training Team with Ardy Ines Araneta-Batoy as Main Resource Speaker/Facilitator, Gloria Leodivica Ines Araneta as co-facilitator and this writer as documentor.
The seminar-workshop which was held on March 22, 2022 was done at the beautiful, cozy and spacious activity area of ACE Medical Center-Bohol. It was participated in by not less than 40 participants joined by the lead organizers – Nursing Service Department Director Evelyn Naces and Asst. Director Juliet Salgados.
Dr. Jane Ramiro, Medical Director of ACE MC-Bohol delivered the welcome address during the event while Hospital President Ronald Ramiro performed his role as Guest Speaker for the graduation ceremonies.
Batoy believes that every stakeholder in any establishment is a frontliner. With this in mind, ACE Medical Center-Bohol sent representatives from practically every department of the organization to know the ropes of Frontline Service especially in the management of and interaction with patients and different clients.
The evaluation sheets produced comments about the seminar/worksop and some of these include the following: “Excellent”, “Not boring”, “No dull moment”, “I learned a lot of things”, “The speakers/facilitators are knowledgeable”, “Very successful”, “Very informative and educational”, “Bibo”, “Participants are motivated to be involved”, “Challenging”, “We need more of this kind of training”.
Aside from Naces and Salgados, other members of the organizing committee were the supervisors, namely, Angela Bea Malcampo, Rey Fuertes, Leny Macadini, Tess Tambangan and Rowena Digao.
